Mobile devices connected to internet hotspot

Leeward CC students can study anywhere with multiple devices using our mobile internet hotspots! The Inseego MiFi X PRO 5G can connect up to 32 Wi-Fi enabled devices. Please encourage your students to fill out our hotspot request form before we run out 🏃🏽‍♀️

We have still have a few semester loan laptops and hotspots left for Leeward CC students!

The Learning Common's 3rd floor renovation is scheduled to begin Monday, December 23rd. Our 2nd floor restrooms and stairwells will be blocked off for construction until the project is complete.

The library's 3rd floor renovation is scheduled to start late December. The library staff will be moving into the Diamond Head Portables the week of November 4-8.

If you are interested in taking office supplies before the move, you may come up to browse until Friday, October 25th. Please check in at the circulation desk before making your way up to the 3rd floor.

We’re excited to continue expanding our librarian services at Waianae Moku! With more students returning to in-person learning, we’ve recognized the increasing demand for hands-on research help and information support. This fall, we’re stepping up our outreach to ensure you have the resources you need to succeed.

How can we help?

  • Library research assistance
  • Guidance on the Information Literacy Exam
  • Support for faculty and staff
  • General reference services

Hours this semester:

  • Wednesdays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

You’ll be assisted by one of our rotating librarians: Natalie Kahn, Junie Hayashi, or Wayde Oshiro. Come by and let us help you make the most of your library experience!

Preparing for 3rd floor renovation

Book Packing Volunteers

Mahalo to everyone who volunteered packing our 3rd floor book collections! We packed over 40,000 books! Despite a few setbacks, we managed to complete this project by the end of Summer Session II.

Additions/changes to the 2nd floor:

  • A few study pods and tables were moved to the main floor
  • Our quiet study area is now in the Kapunawai room, main floor
  • Group study rooms will not be available

The 3rd floor will be closed until renovation is complete.

Upper Floor Book Collections Inaccessible after May 31st

In preparation for our 3rd floor renovation scheduled mid-late fall 2024, we will be boxing our upper floor book collections this summer. The General, Hawaiʻi-Pacific, Reference, and Oversize book collections will be inaccessible for browsing and borrowing after May 31st

 

Semester Loan Laptops

Semester loan laptops are first come, first serve. Requirements:

  1. Home campus must be Leeward CC (Puʻuloa or Waiʻanae Moku)
  2. Must be registered for at least 1 Leeward CC course
  3. Students may only borrow during the session they are registered for. Borrowing periods:
    • Summer Session I: May 20 - June 28
    • Summer Session II: July 1 - August 12
    • Registered for both sessions: May 20 - August 12
