November is National Family Caregivers Month

During National Family Caregivers Month in November, the Alzheimer’s Association is teaming up with the Ad Council to launch a new national communications campaign, Hopeful Together.” Highlighting the campaign are public service announcements (PSAs) aimed at encouraging families to discuss cognitive concerns with each other and their doctor sooner to enable early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia.

Speaking from personal experience, my family has been caring for my mother who has been battling Alzheimer’s for about 8 years. I can never forget all that she has done for me, and want to help her in her time of need. Join me in honoring all who have been caregivers to family members with Alzheimer’s or other debilitating diseases.

The following list is a selection of resources on caregiving for people with Alzheimerʻs available at the Leeward CC Library:

For more information please visit the Alzheimerʻs Association and National Family Caregivers Month.
